Meditation Class

Prayer is talking to God. Meditation is listening to Him.  

To listen through meditation is to go within, to quiet the conscious mind, to slow down the mental chatter, and listen to our inner guidance. It's about transitioning from mind full to mindful.  If the mind is a garden, then meditation helps tend to this garden, weeding out the voice of fear, and planting new seeds, consistently nurturing this garden and allowing it to bloom and blossom. 


Our Mindful meditations are about being in the present moment - being present to our inner voice and its unconditional guidance.  Sessions involve conscious breathing, guided imagery, affirmations and relaxation, which together help expand one's awareness of breath-body-mind.

Yoga Nidra or Deep Rest, helps take care of the home that houses your Spirit/God/Source Energy. Referred to as Divine sleep or deep rest, it’s a state in which you allow your body to let go of practiced stress responses, and train yourself to respond to relaxation, thus returning the body to its natural state of well-being.  With regular practice, the energy within the body is regulated, the body relaxes, and you begin to experience calmness, clarity and the aspects of prana (life force or breath), which are love, wisdom, light and energy. 


Tending to both your garden and your home (mind and body), strikes a perfect balance of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. The side effects of this being, happiness, peace, calm, relaxation, joy, balance, harmony, and an overall sense of good health. Thus, strengthening your relationship between you and your Spirit, your Source, your God.

Sound Bath works on vibration.  It is an alternative way of healing the body.  The principle of sound bath is resonance – the vibrational frequency of an object, and hence also known as vibrational healing. Sound bath has been an integral part in cultures like the Aboriginals, Tibetan monks and Greek philosophers for centuries.

Our sound bath practice uses vibrations of vocal sound, Tibetan singing bowls and other instruments, to relax both body and mind.  It’s a non-invasive method used to relieve stress and revitalize the body.  The soothing sound of the voice and instruments help lower blood pressure, improve circulation, respiration and quality of sleep. It also enhances energy levels. The sound waves create a vibrational frequency that interacts with the body at a cellular level and begins to transform unhealthy cells to a healthier state of being.

Shalom Yoga is a traditional form of Yoga; a journey towards holistic wellness.  It includes Yogasanas, Surya Namaskar, Chandra Namaskar, Pranayama, Meditation and Relaxation techniques, which help develop a keen awareness of the mind-body-spirit connection.  It helps improve strength, stamina, balance and flexibility; mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. The awareness and attention to one’s breath, learning how to guide ourselves inward, the slow, rhythmic, steady postures; the silence, relaxation, stillness, facilitate general well-being.

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. It targets the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well. It involves slow, precise movements and breath control. It’s a full-body exercise that strengthens and stabilizes your core, while improving your posture, flexibility, and mobility.

Mat Pilates is a series of exercises from within the Pilates Method designed to be performed on a mat. The idea behind Mat Pilates, according to Joseph Pilates, the Founder of Pilates, was to challenge your muscles in a variety of ways.  Mat Pilates can be done anywhere, with just a mat. Health benefits include improved flexibility; increased muscle strength; body toning – particularly abdominal muscles; strengthening lower back; whole body alignment.
